About The Event

This is a 2 hour online poetry workshop exploring the work of contemporary Black British poets such as Raymond Antrobus, Roger Robinson and Victoria Adulwei Bulley. We’ll take a look at the work of these poets, discuss and write in response to themes identified in their work. The workshop is open to anyone interested in becoming familiar with contemporary Black British poetry and writing poems.

Upon booking, there will be an opportunity to let us know of any accessibility needs.

About Omikemi

Omikemi is a writer, poet, editor, workshop facilitator and creative mentor. Their writing has been published in Ambit, Rialto, Bloodaxe, Poets of the New Generation. Grief Ritual Practice, Crossings, is forthcoming in facilitators guide, How We Hold, for Serpentine Galleries. They currently work as a freelance writer and mentor for Disability Arts Online and more recently as editor for Onyx, a collective and publication exploring (dis)ability and racism.
