About The Event
Hastings is a town rich with writers of all shapes and sizes, and we are pleased to be putting on our second Open Mic night hosted by the hilarious Henry Normal.
Everyone who signs up for a performers' slot is invited into Henry’s hat. The performance order will be pulled from the hat on the evening and given the stage for five minutes! Everyone is equal and everyone (who signs up) will have a chance to win.
We have received even more requests for events from local writers and poets this year and we wanted to give you all a chance to sign up in advance. A small number of openings will be left available for the night itself.
It will be on a first come first served basis both online and on the night. Once the slots are gone, they’re gone! We will also operate a reserves list on the night, so please book an audience ticket and join the waiting list on the night itself. UPDATE All the advance performer tickets have been issued. If you wish to be added to the reserve list please book an audience ticket and email info@hastingsbookfest.org with - WAITING LIST Open Mic - in the title with your information and we'll let you know if a slot opens.
Every audience member will be given a chance to vote for their favourite once ALL have performed and the two with the most votes will receive a cash prize of £50 each.
Invite your friends, family and everyone to get an audience ticket and vote for YOU!
