SHORT STORY WORKSHOP: VG Lee - Setting the Words on Fire!
A three-hour workshop concentrating on the short story.
Time & Location
15 Sept 2024, 14:00 – 17:00
The Observer Building, 53 Cambridge Rd, Hastings TN34 1DT, UK
About The Event
Some believe they have a novel in them, others feel they have at least a handful of short stories waiting to be shared with a reader. Sometimes a story will lead on to a novel or it can remain perfect in the short form.
This workshop is for all who have a desire to write or are already writing. Over three hours you will be guided through creating your story from start to finish. There will be characters, a story-line, a sense of place – above all I want your work to have a unique voice because so often, that quality makes every word special. Expect to read your work aloud, discuss and receive helpful feedback.
The Book Festival is offering a free bursary place to any local resident, who wishes to attend this workshop, but is struggling financially. To apply for this place, please email info@hastingsbookfestival.org
